Reeve v Lisle [1902]

This case found that an equity of redemption would not be a destroyed by an option granted to a mortgagor to purchase mortgaged property if that option was contained in a separate agreement to that for the mortgage. The later case of Samuel v Jarrah Timber [1904] illustrates this separation distinction.
