Case T-347/03 Branco v Commission [2005]

The General Court found that a legitimate expectation could be created where there was:

  1. A precise, unconditional and consistent assurance from an authorised and reliable source
  2. That assurance must give rise to a legitimate expectation
  3. That assurance must comply with applicable rules
