Case 98/86 Ministère public v Arthur Mathot 
- Belgium imposed a labelling requirement on butter
- This requirement, to display such information as the manufacturer’s business address on butter packages of at least 1kg, only applied to products both produced and sold within Belgium
- Did this requirement breach Art 34 TFEU on the prohibition on obstacles to the free movement of goods between EU Member States?
- As the requirement was only imposed on products whose trade was totally internal to Belgium, it could not be regulated by EU law
